In need of a travel companion?

Since launching togetherfriends two years ago, we have noticed a common theme running through our discussions with members – the desire to travel and see the world!  Our members have travelled, and are continuing to travel far and wide.  At the last coffee morning I attended, there was talk of trips to Cuba, Borneo and Dubai.  Our members are adventurers. They want to try out new experiences and see new sights.

But what our members also want is someone to share these experiences with.  They are looking for companions for coffee, cinema trips, days out and walks, but they are also looking for travel companions.  However independent you are, there are times when you would like some company on your travels. At the evening meal, as a companion on the coach, as a friend to hang out with at the evening entertainment.  Everyone likes some company now and again.

That’s why we have introduced ‘travelfriend shout out’.  It works like this - You have always wanted to travel to Sri Lanka, to walk the Pembrokeshire coastal path, to go on a cruise.  You send your ‘travel shout out’ to togetherfriends and we pop it on the website for you. If another member likes the sound of the trip, they get in touch with togetherfriends, and with mutual consent you share email addresses.  Then it is up to you.  You get to know each other and decide for yourself whether you would like to go on a joint trip. No pressure, just an opportunity to meet a like minded person with the same interests as you!
