As 2020 draws to a close, togetherfriends wishes all our members and visitors to the site a healthy and special Christmas, whatever you are doing. This Christmas will be a Christmas like no other, and many of us will not be with as many friends and family as we would like. But I hope that you can still make your Christmas special, whether it is connecting via Zoom at a distance, enjoying an 'outdoor' alternative Christmas lunch, or doing something different from the norm such as going for a long walk or volunteering.
2020 has been a difficult year for so many and even for togetherfriends, lockdown has greatly affected the ability of our members to meet up for their usual walks, coffees, cinema trips or days out.
We look forward to 2021 when our members can meet again in person, and take pleasure in returning to their usual social activities. We continue to welcome members from all over the UK, from all corners of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our members are matched with others who live close by, who are of a similar age and with similar interests.
Women often join after some life changing experience such as retirement, divorce, children leaving home, bereavement or a move to a new town. Members usually meet one to one but can also set up group events such as coffee mornings or walks in the countryside.
We are delighted that we are helping so many women make new friends. If you are female and are feeling isolated at the moment and in need of more friends, why not join our site and see who you are matched with?
We hope you will join us on the togetherfriends journey in 2021.
Have a lovely Christmas.
with very best wishes,
Helen at togetherfriendsxx
