We're in the paper in York!

The York Press newspaper has featured togetherfriends in an article this week. See their interview with founder, Helen King  here.

They explain how togetherfriends was set up to help women make new friends. Divorce, redundancy, retirement, moving, kids leaving home - all these life-changing experiences can leave people leaving lonely.

Since featuring in the paper we've had lots of enquiries from women interested in attending the coffee morning at the National Railway museum on Saturday 21st November (more details here). If you're are interested in coming and meeting other local women there is still space for you - contact [email protected] for more details.

We've also had lots of women joining the site from York and surrounding areas such as Whitby, Malton, Bridlington, Thirsk, Stamford Bridge, Pickering, Easingwold & Copmanthorpe. If there is enough interest we are hoping the coffee morning will become a regular event and might also result in a supper club as has happened in other towns.

We look forward to meeting York members on the 21st and to similar events & features in other parts of the country.
